Driving Instructions From San Jose to Mahogany Park: Take the Main Highway west past Juan Santamaria Airport. Take the turnoff to Atenas/ Jaco (1st major exit past airport). At the stop sign turn left. Follow this route past Atenas and then down the long hill (Cerro Aguacate). There will be 4 narrow bridges (1 lane bridges – be careful here) near the bottom of the long hill. In this direction you must yield to all oncoming traffic at each bridge. Just after the last one you will enter the town of San Mateo. You will see here that the road makes a sharp turn to the right at the church. You have to turn right here - do not go straight as it is one way towards you. The main road to the beach next turns left on the other side of the church. Do not turn left here but go straight. This road goes west towards Esparza. The Original Canopy Tour will be about 7 km (about 10 minutes) from this point straight ahead. You will pass another 3 narrow bridges. The 3rd bridge is at the bottom of a long hill. The road will wind up a steep grade just after this bridge and the Original Canopy Tour at Mahogany Park will be at the top of the hill on your left hand side.
